- How to: Remap Apple Keyboard Command Keys to Control Keys-I do lots of development using Visual Studio in Windows 7 running in Parallels on a Mac. I use an apple extended keyboard and find the key remapping feature built into parallels next to useless. Here is how to swap (or remap) the apple command key with the control key on the apple.
Setup the Command Key on a Windows Keyboard Plug your keyboard into the USB port on your Mac, Macbook, iMac, Mac Pro, Mac Mini, or whatever you’ve got. Go to System Preferences Keyboard. In the lower-right hand corner, click Modifier Keys. Choose your keyboard from the Select keyboard.
Editor’s note: VO Key Commands are arranged by Levels. Press and hold the keys below while typing any other key.
Level One: Press Control-Option.
Level Two: Press Control-Option-Shift.
Level Three: Press Control-Option-Command.
Level Four: Press Control-Option-Command-Shift.
Level Two: Press Control-Option-Shift.
Level Three: Press Control-Option-Command.
Level Four: Press Control-Option-Command-Shift.
A “Combined Listing” has been provided at the end of this document. This offers an arrangement by keypress, with all Control keys and notes included, per key.
Except for the Combined List which is my own arrangement, all information is presented as true as possible to Apple’s original materials. Free virus protection for apple mac.
